Smoky Fried Green Tomatoes

  • Garlic Aioli
  • 2 large green tomatoes
  • Milk of choice for breading
  • Hodgson Mill (Gluten Free) Seasoned Coating Mix, or any seasoned mix that your prefer!
  • Mason Dixon's Smoked Salsa (topping)
  • Cilantro (topping, optional)


1.) Make your aioli sauce and set aside to chill.

2.) Slice then green tomatoes. Dip in milk and then in breading and set aside.

3.) Either shallow pan fry your tomatoes, or air fry. We air fry and i will provide a useful tip below for those who prefer that method.

4.) Top with Mason Dixon's Smoked Salsa and optional cilantro.

*Suggestion* I cook the tomatoes in the air fryer at 390 degrees for a few minutes until the breading hardens slightly. I then lightly baste with oil on both sides (avocado oil is best for this) and cook again until crispy and brown, flipping part way through.
